# How much does a company presentation website cost? Initial cost and annual expenses

For a presentation website, the budget is calculated based on initial setup, recurring services and additional work required for the project. The price listed for building the website does not fully answer the question 'how much will I pay in the first year and after that?'.

In the VIStudio offer reviewed on October 19, 2026, activation and the first annual subscription amount to **250 EUR for Start, 350 EUR for Business or 550 EUR for Priority**. These amounts cover platform activation and the subscription. The domain is purchased separately, and other services must be assessed for your project. The calculations and conditions are explained below, based on the [pricing page](https://www.vistudio.ro/en/prices).

## What should be defined before comparing prices

Start by determining what the website needs to do. For a services company, the goal may be to present the offer and receive contact requests. An online store with products, payments and management or an application with proprietary processes requires a different assessment.

Prepare a short list: required pages, services featured, languages, contact form, available materials and any necessary integrations. Note who is providing the text and images, who is checking the information and who approves the launch.

Two offers may use the same phrase, 'professional website', but cover different tasks. The number of pages is only part of the comparison: a page with ready materials requires different work than one that needs research, photography and writing from scratch.

## What makes up the initial cost

### Planning and configuration

This includes clarifying the structure, choosing a solution and preparing the environment where the website will operate. Ask for a clear list of what the provider delivers and what remains your responsibility.

In the [VIStudio process](https://www.vistudio.ro/en/how-it-works), Imagine Infinity handles the initial configuration, including MCP access, which allows the agent to work with the website. You provide the company information, check its accuracy and decide what will be published. Working through consultation requires these materials and decisions.

### Design, structure and content

Check if the offer uses an existing theme or includes custom design. Separately, clarify who prepares the text, chooses photos and organizes the pages. Do not assume that 'website development' automatically includes the production of all materials.

**Hypothetical example, without a price estimate:** a consulting firm might start by showcasing its services, team information and a contact form. If it later wants appointments integrated with an external system, the new requirement must be evaluated before being included in the budget.

### Verification and launch preparation

Decide who checks the contact information, forms, links and mobile display. Make sure connecting the domain and necessary corrections before launch are part of the discussion. A price is easier to assess when you know exactly what project delivery means and the support you receive at this stage.

## What annual or on-demand costs apply

Divide the budget into three categories to avoid counting the same service twice or overlooking an expense.

### Recurring costs of the chosen solution

- **Platform or hosting:** check the service included, billing period and renewal price. In a managed solution, some components may be part of the same subscription.
- **Domain:** note who buys it, who renews it and the applicable rate for the chosen extension. In the VIStudio offer it is purchased separately by the client.
- **External services, if used:** domain-based email, licenses, booking apps or other tools may have their own terms and costs.

The distinction between software and the service that hosts it is important. For example, the [official WordPress.com documentation](https://wordpress.com/support/com-vs-org/) explains that WordPress.com includes managed hosting, while the WordPress.org version requires you to choose a separate hosting provider. The fact that software can be downloaded for free does not reflect the total project cost.

### Additional work

Updating materials, custom design and integrations must be separated from the platform's normal operation. In the VIStudio offer, custom design, integrations, custom functionalities and extra storage are analyzed and quoted separately.

If you already have a website, the [migration assessment](https://www.vistudio.ro/en/website-migration) must specify the included operations, cost and schedule. Do not automatically assume that complete migration is covered by the activation services.

### Points to clarify before final calculation

For tasks involving conversation, check whether the AI agent application requires a paid account or usage fees, and who will cover these costs. Do not assume these are included in the website subscription.

Apply the same rule for email, text production, and photography: include an amount in the budget only after you have an offer or confirmation applicable to the project.

## Example VIStudio: first year and subsequent years

[Current VIStudio offer](https://www.vistudio.ro/en/prices), verified on October 19, 2026, provides **200 EUR for the activation of each website**, paid at the start, regardless of plan. Activation includes initial setup and launch support within **30 days of purchase**.

### Start

- Subscription: **50 EUR/year**, with **20 MB** of space.
- First year: **200 + 50 = 250 EUR**.
- Subsequent years: **50 EUR/year**, if you keep the plan and rates remain unchanged.
- Email support with a response time of **48 hours**, during business hours.

### Business

- Subscription: **150 EUR/year**, with **100 MB** of space.
- First year: **200 + 150 = 350 EUR**.
- Subsequent years: **150 EUR/year**, under the same assumptions.
- Email and phone support with a response time of **24 hours**, during business hours.

### Priority

- Subscription: **350 EUR/year**, with **1 GB** of space.
- First year: **200 + 350 = 550 EUR**.
- Subsequent years: **350 EUR/year**, under the same assumptions.
- Priority support with a response time of **2 hours**, during business hours.

Declared business hours are **Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 18:00**. The times above are for responses, not resolution or development deadlines.

All plans offer the same platform capabilities, within the available space. The VIStudio [capabilities page](https://www.vistudio.ro/en/capabilities) explains tasks through conversation, automatic translation and change review before publication. Choose a plan based on space needs and support required.

**Calculation limits:** totals include only one activation and a yearly subscription. They do not include domain or amounts for external services or additional work. The pricing page states prices are exclusive of VAT and that the provider is not VAT registered.

## How to compare two offers for the same period

For each offer, enter separately the cost for the first year and the cost for a subsequent year. Use the same checklist:

1. Initial setup and launch deliverables.
2. Subscription and renewal fee.
3. Domain and required external services.
4. Content preparation and included changes.
5. Optional work, with confirmed price quoted separately.
6. Support, schedule and response time.

When two items appear similar, check what they actually cover. “Support included” may need clarification: will you get answers to questions, technical intervention or content changes as well? Do not treat response time as a guarantee that any request will be resolved in that interval.

## How to keep your budget under control

Start by launching pages that describe your offer and allow contact with your company. Prepare your materials before setup and check if an available theme covers your desired structure. Request an assessment of an integration before building the rest of your project around it.

**Hypothetical example:** a workshop can present its services and receive inquiries through a form, then separately assess an appointment system. This is a staging choice, not a guaranteed way to save money.

A useful budget is one in which every amount is associated with a period, a service and a responsible party. With these three details you can decide what you need at launch, what you will pay on a recurring basis and what is worth assessing later.
